## Abstract

Agent capability becomes useful through a relation to purpose, a body of work
and a person who can answer for its use. Chirality Root sustains that relation
through shared roles, methods, tools and artifacts, while keeping those means
open to examination and improvement.

Ontology, epistemology, praxeology and axiology ask what the undertaking consists
of, what supports understanding, how intent becomes a result and what makes that
result worth pursuing. Agents extend reckoning through inquiry and action.
Human judgment shapes what matters and what the person will stand behind.
Greater capability expands the work without itself settling its purposes.

Roles make responsibilities intelligible. Methods carry experience. Artifacts
let work persist and remain open to examination. Tools make operations
repeatable and relevant information accessible. Their value depends on serving
the undertaking; maintaining them can otherwise displace the work they support.

Iteration connects inquiry, action, evaluation and revision. A finding can repair
an output, change its method or expose a purpose that needs reconsideration.
Learning is retained when the correction reaches the place where it matters.
The development case supplies bounded evidence about these relations, without
establishing a general productivity effect.

The App is the workflow-authoring exemplar. SWBPIPE tests the approach in an
engineering domain through models, operations, calculations and handoff. Their
development asks whether shared meanings can support different practices without
prescribing a universal execution system. These are normative, operative and
evaluative emphases within one iterative undertaking. The
[shared introduction](INTRODUCTION.md) and [conclusion](CONCLUSION.md) develop
their relationship; Appendix E carries the development history.

The argument distinguishes adopted commitments, design hypotheses and observed
findings. Its adequacy remains open to sustained use and another practitioner's
experience. Appendix D carries the shared philosophical kernel.

## Author's Note

The originating intuition behind Chirality was that meaning is not manufactured — not by the machine, and not by the professional. It is encountered, already intelligible and already significant, under conditions of responsibility. The architecture developed in this thesis is a practical attempt to preserve that encounter in AI-assisted professional work: to let AI widen what the professional can perceive, compare, and prepare, while keeping the acts of judgment, commitment, and answerability where they have always lived — with the person. The main argument asks no assent beyond professional and philosophical grounds. The deeper layer, for readers who want it, is developed in Appendix D, which also records the origin of the conjecture (§D.8).
