# From Design Intent to Defensible Engineering Work

**Why agent participation must become particular to an engineering practice**

[Read the thesis](THESIS.md).

The SWBPIPE thesis examines why engineering design needs an environment
connecting physical intent, analytical idealization, action and evidence,
with human judgment throughout.

This is the evaluative emphasis of one research work. The
[shared introduction](../../../../docs/thesis/INTRODUCTION.md) develops its
question; Root gives normative emphasis, App operative emphasis and SWBPIPE
evaluative emphasis. These are overlapping views: ontology, epistemology,
praxeology and axiology inform each, and findings return to revise the means
and purposes of work under the relevant authority. SWBPIPE tests the shared
orientation as a domain software instance, where
physical intent, analytical idealization and engineering consequences must
remain connected.

The [support-arrangement example](../../../../docs/thesis/WORKED_EXAMPLE.md)
connects the views through an illustrative revision; the
[shared conclusion](../../../../docs/thesis/CONCLUSION.md) brings their
argument and remaining questions together.

The [shared conjecture](appendix_d_framework_s.md) carries the same formulas,
definitions and interpretation as the Root thesis. G remains undefined.

authority; implementation, defined tests and observations have distinct standing.
See the thesis's source notes for the evidence and its limits.
